Going through the collection #2

Back in the early 1990’s, there was a brilliant rubber stamp company called Alice in Rubberland that had all sorts of fantastic images. Most of them were originally photorealistic clip art that was in the public domain but they were all deeply etched red rubber and were extremely well made.

But the crown jewels of their catalog were their Tom of Finland stamps. They had five or six drawings of his pressed into rubber and I own three of them. I used one on a Twitch stream recently and someone was shocked I had one. “Is that a Tom of Finland stamp?!?”

His art is very recognizable and I feel privileged to own these. I wish I had all of them, but they are very scarce and don’t end up for sale often.
