Papercraft: Gift Card Folder pattern

There are many things you can buy to put a gift card in: boxes, little stockings, and special pillow boxes to name a few. What I like to do is make something that incorporates the gift card into the design so that when you pull a tab, the gift card pops out, or when you open the card, the gift card sticks up out of the center of the card. So I’m always looking for ideas on how to do this.

This idea I got from the British magazine Simply Papercraft and I modified it into imperial units and am presenting it in its basic form with as little customization as possible because I want you to make this pattern your own. Round the corners, don’t round the corners, add ribbon, don’t add ribbon, whatever you want to do to make it yours. Then stick them in a stocking or in a mug with cocoa packets or whatever other small gift that you can stick it in.

Here’s hoping your holiday season is a good and crafty one!
