Going through the collection #3

This is one of my favorite Christmas stamps. It was published by Rubber Soul back in 2005 and I bought it from their shop in Redmond Town Center back when they still had a shop there. It closed a couple of years later, I can’t quite remember the exact year, but I was very, very sad to see them go. They still produce stamps, but only sell on-line and this particular stamp is out of print. I’m guessing that it went out of print since the art is by Dave Brethhauer (who started Memory Box and Poppystamps) and the licensing of the image lapsed.

I stamped this on white, 65 lb. card stock using Memento Tuxedo Black and then colored in a few bulbs with some Prismacolors just so you can get a look at what this will eventually look like.

The best part about this stamp? There’s no “up” so you don’t have to worry about it stamping it crooked, so a positioner isn’t completely necessary.

I’ve been enjoying going through my old stuff. It’s like shopping in my stamp drawers.
