Stamping in the foreground and background

This is a card I made last night. The background uses the same stamp sets as the foreground, but I stamped the images using Memento Rhubarb Stalk ink so that it would match the color of the cardstock.  I liked how it turned out as it doesn’t distract from the foreground, but is still visually interesting.

The images and frames were colored using markers since I stamped those images on Kromekote card stock which will not take colored pencil. The candy stripe paper was from a pad of 12 inch by 12 inch paper I bought on sale at Michaels.

Note how the images at the bottom aren’t fully on the card. Don’t limit yourself by forcing yourself to include the whole image. Let them go off the sides when you stamp.
